Wedding to Remember

For grooms with a wondering eye, here is a lesson of what not to do before a wedding…that is if you actually want to get married.

A bride found out that her soon to be husband had been carrying on an affair with a very good friend in the weeks leading up to the wedding.  The bride was devastated.  She couldn’t believe that her groom, who had so graciously paid for their dream wedding because neither she nor her parents could afford it, would do such a thing.  However, several friends who’d known the truth but had decided to keep quiet because they knew that a great deal of money and effort had already been put into the planning of the wedding, confirmed that it was, in fact true.  .

At first, the bride struggled about what to do.  The friends who knew about the affair thought surely she’d cancel the wedding and were very surprised when she didn’t. They didn’t know that the bride had come up with a way to get even.  .

On the day of the wedding, when the minister asked if anyone knew of any reason they should not lawfully be married, the bride thanked the minister for asking.  She then turned to her guests and thanked them for coming.  She then proceeded to thank a few other people including her parents, her wedding party, and a few friends, before eventually turning back to the groom and thanking him for the lavish wedding and for cheating on her with her now former friend.  The woman then apologized that there would be no money but invited everyone to enjoy the reception for which her ex-fiancé had paid.

If you’re going to cheat on your fiancée before you even make it down the aisle and you’re picking up the tab, here’s a piece of advice: Have vendors invoice you.
